Kawar Salih

Kawar Salih is a freelance licensed architect and interior designer. He works as an academic between Duhok Polytechnic University and the  American University of Kurdistan. In 2012, he accomplished BSc. Degree in Architectural Engineering at the University of Duhok with First Class Honors. He was awarded a scholarship program (HCED) from the Iraqi government to study master's degree in the UK. In 2016, he acquired MSc. Degree in Sustainable Buildings and Environment from Newcastle University, UK. He has designed numerous buildings of medium and large scale in the Kurdistan region. He has participated in numerous conferences in Europe and the Middle East since 2016.  He has several publications on sustainable urban and building design in internationally recognized journals. His research interest focused on low energy and zero-carbon buildings and BIM.
